A leopard prowls into a peacock's garden in full bloom, wild instinct below and a hundred jeweled eyes above, finished at the collar in teal ostrich feather that breathes as she moves. The peacock was the bird of sovereigns, and she carries that authority without effort. When she enters, the room reorganizes itself around her.
